Turkish Airlines: Official Contacts and How to Report a Scam

Fake airline support numbers on search ads and social media take real money. Here is what Turkish Airlines officially publishes for 2 markets: contact numbers, the domains it uses, its own scam warnings, refund rules and the regulator to complain to.

Do this first

  1. Do not call a number from a search ad, social post or message. Use the numbers below or the help section of the official Turkish Airlines app or website.
  2. No airline needs you to pay with gift cards, move money to a "safe" account or install remote-access software. If someone asks, hang up.
  3. If you paid by card or bank transfer, call your bank's fraud line now.
  4. Keep your booking reference and any messages, then report using the routes below.

What Turkish Airlines says about scams: Turkish Airlines says its staff and call-centre employees will never ask for your card PIN, Miles&Smiles password or the bank's SMS one-time code; it does not hand out gifts via WhatsApp or request money to an IBAN, and does not ask for a CVV or password to process refunds (refunds go back to the original card automatically). It warns that sponsored search-ad phone numbers (0850 / 444 lookalikes) are fake call centres, and that fake sites imitate its brand (examples: turkishairlines-login.com, turkıshairlines.com, turkish-airlines-refund.com).

Report a scam or fraud: It tells passengers to end the call/transaction and contact the official call centre (0850 333 0 849) or check 'My Flights' in the mobile app.

Customer Service Plan (US DOT) and refund statement: Refunds are returned in the original form of payment; US-linked bookings made 7+ days before departure can be refunded in full within 24 hours of ticketing. Tickets bought via a travel agent must be refunded through that agent. (source)

  • Not every 0850 or 444 number found in online searches belongs to Turkish Airlines; compare with the Contact Us page.
  • Turkish Airlines will never ask for your card PIN, Miles&Smiles password or bank OTP.
  • Do not transfer money to IBANs sent via WhatsApp or Telegram; do not trust 'Sponsored' search result phone numbers.
