What Singapore Post (SingPost) says about scams: SingPost does not send SMS for delivery updates (switched to app push notifications on 28 Feb 2022). It never requests personal or banking details by SMS and never sends SMS for lucky draws, loans or job offers. Payments can only be made via the SingPost Mobile App, SAM machines or a post office, never through an online link. Failed delivery gets a physical Non-Delivery Advice. Emails come only from singpost.com domains and link only to its listed domains. SMS are still sent only for OTPs, POPStation matters, post office digital queue tickets and selected customer-service follow-ups.

Report a scam or fraud: Singapore Police Force also advises the 24/7 ScamShield Helpline 1799 and www.scamshield.gov.sg.

  • SingPost does not use SMS or WhatsApp links for delivery or payment; a Police advisory (27 Mar 2026) covers fake SingPost WhatsApp messages with at least 10 cases and S$22,000 lost since 15 Mar 2026.
