Expedia: Official Contacts and How to Report a Scam

Fake listings, fake payment links and fake support numbers target Expedia customers. Here is what Expedia officially publishes: contacts, the domains it uses, its scam warnings and how to report a problem.

Do this first

  1. Keep all payment and messages inside the official Expedia website or app. Be wary of anyone asking you to pay or chat elsewhere.
  2. Do not call a number from a search ad or a message. Use the numbers and pages below.
  3. If you paid by card, bank transfer or gift card, call your bank's fraud line now.
  4. Report the listing or message with the routes below, then use the regulator if the company won't help.

Expedia does not publish one fixed customer-service number. It gives you the right number after a few questions on its own website or app, so a number from a search ad, social post or third-party site is not verified.

What Expedia says about scams: Expedia warns that fake Expedia phone numbers circulate online, often through misleading search-engine ads and whole fake pages. It says it will never ask for your password or one-time passcode, never ask for a wire transfer, only asks for card details at checkout, and never asks you to buy a gift card to pay for your trip.

Report a scam or fraud: Contact Expedia through the official phone flow or chat on the getintouch page.

  • Fake Expedia phone numbers are circulating online, often via search-engine ads.
  • Expedia will never ask for a wire transfer, a password or one-time passcode, or a gift card.
