How many Facebook users across the world? A research from Meta Ad Manager

Screenshots supplied for analysis show Meta Ads Manager estimating an India audience of 629.2–740.2 million under the displayed controls, the largest in a 19-market collection. The figures are planning ranges, not a census of Facebook users. An age-setting exception and missing capture dates highlight why such comparisons need careful interpretation.
Meta Ads Manager screenshots supplied for analysis display an estimated audience of 629.2–740.2 million for India, ahead of every other market in a collection covering 19 country and territory location selections. The figures offer a view into advertising planning estimates, not a verified count of Facebook users or unique people across Meta’s services.
The collection consists of two documents: an initial nine-market compilation and an expanded version containing 20 screenshots for 19 locations. Ten screenshots in the expanded document are identical to images in the first, so the documents are not independent measurements of audience size.
The screens show location selections, minimum ages and an “Estimated audience size” range. No capture date is visible. Although the accompanying text describes November 2026 snapshots, the images alone do not establish that timing.
India leads the supplied collection
India’s screenshot shows the location India and minimum age 18. Its lower estimate exceeds the upper estimate displayed for the United States, at 261.2–307.3 million.
The following ranges were checked against the screenshots. All figures are in millions.

Estimated advertising audiences; bold chart figures are calculated range midpoints, not separate Meta user counts. Thailand: minimum age20; others18.
These are selected locations, not a complete worldwide ranking. China has the smallest displayed estimate in this collection, but the screenshots do not establish who comprises that audience or explain its size. Claims about VPN use, expatriates or access restrictions causing the result would require separate evidence.
One age setting limits comparability
Most screenshots show a minimum age of 18. Thailand instead uses 20, so its estimate is not directly comparable with the other adult-audience selections.
The supplied narrative suggests Thailand’s estimate would rise if the minimum age were lowered. The images do not quantify that change, and no adjustment has been made here.
Overlapping ranges also discourage precise league tables. South Africa’s 30.1–35.4 million and Iraq’s 30–35.2 million, for example, do not establish a meaningful difference in actual audience size. A calculated midpoint would be an editorial calculation, not another observed Meta metric.
Advertising estimates are not active-user totals
The visible screens provide neither an app-by-app breakdown nor a Facebook-only placement definition. The numbers should not be labelled Facebook monthly active users or a verified total of unique people across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger.
The accompanying documents describe “monthly active Meta Accounts”, but the visible numerical label is “Estimated audience size”. The screenshots do not independently establish the stronger active-account interpretation.
A notice beside the estimates says they exclude Advantage+ audience options and may vary significantly over time. That does not establish how expansion would affect a particular campaign or whether delivery could exceed geographic controls.
What global policymakers and advertisers can conclude
The collection illustrates the difference between an advertising-interface estimate and a population statistic. Selecting a country does not establish that its estimate represents residents exclusively; the visible controls do not explain the treatment of visitors or location signals.
Adding the ranges or their midpoints would not produce a verified global user total. The collection is incomplete, includes different age thresholds and provides no cross-market deduplication method.
The supported conclusion is narrower: India has the largest displayed advertising-planning range in this collection. Claims about market saturation, advertising costs, campaign performance or unique-user penetration need evidence beyond these screenshots.
