What Zepeto (Naver Z) says about legal process

  • Legal process. ZEPETO provides user data only under legally compulsory enforcement procedures (for example seizure and search warrants or document submission orders), submitted in English or Korean through the stated channels; it does not respond to requests that lack legal force, fail validity requirements, or do not specify the legal basis, subject data and method of enforcement. Receipt confirmations waive no objections.
  • Requests from other countries. Foreign institutions must proceed under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty between their country and the Republic of Korea; ZEPETO will not provide user data without a legally compulsory request following MLAT procedures.
  • Preservation. ZEPETO preserves data to the extent possible after individual review of a valid preservation request (for example an evidence preservation order) that specifies the legal basis, target data and retention period; no fixed retention period is stated.
