What Twilio says about legal process
- Legal process. Valid and enforceable legal process (subpoena, court order or search warrant) is required; contents of communications require a search warrant; wiretap and pen register/trap and trace orders are accepted and handled per CALEA via Kodex.
- Requests from other countries. Twilio discloses according to its Terms of Service, Privacy Notice and applicable law; an MLAT request or letter rogatory may be required.
- Preservation. Twilio preserves customer information for up to 90 days after a valid preservation request, without guaranteeing the data exists; submit via Kodex with account identifiers, record categories and time period.
- Notifying the user. Twilio will use reasonable efforts to notify customers unless prohibited by law; a court order or other legal authority barring disclosure must be included to prevent notice.
