What Truecaller says about legal process
- Legal process. Law enforcement agencies should send a formal legal request issued in accordance with applicable laws, with relevant and complete details, to the Nodal Contact Person appointed under Rule 4(1)(b) of India's IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. The EU privacy policy separately says Truecaller may disclose data to authorities when it believes in good faith it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or valid legal process.
- Requests from other countries. The published law-enforcement channel is the Indian Nodal Contact Person at Truecaller International LLP; no route for non-Indian authorities is stated on the page read.
