How Police Request Data from Threema
Threema does not publish a dedicated law-enforcement contact. Below is what its own pages say about legal process, and where an officer can start.
Ministry of Cyber Affairs is not Threema and cannot create or reset portal accounts, pass on requests or release data. Contact Threema directly. Is this your company? Request a correction.

What Threema says about legal process
- Legal process. On judicial order Threema must provide available information; inquiries are processed only if submitted via the Swiss PTSS (Post and Telecommunications Surveillance Service) and meet formal requirements. If fully met it can provide ID creation date, last login date, and (if the user opted in) hashes of a linked phone number/email and a push token. No communication metadata is retained.
- Requests from other countries. Threema does not handle inquiries by foreign authorities; foreign authorities must make an official legal assistance request under the Swiss Federal Act on International Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters.
