How Police Request Data from Tether
Police and government officials send lawful requests to Tether through a legal-process email address. The details below are taken from Tether's own published guidelines.
Ministry of Cyber Affairs is not Tether and cannot create or reset portal accounts, pass on requests or release data. Contact Tether directly. Is this your company? Request a correction.

Check before you send
- Tether's law-enforcement policy page was last updated on 3 January 2018. Confirm the contact is still monitored before relying on it.
What Tether says about legal process
- Legal process. Requests must be accompanied by appropriate legal process, which varies by place (production orders, search warrants, subpoenas; requests for voluntary disclosure may also amount to legal process). Tether reviews each to confirm a valid legal basis and narrowly tailors any response. Requests to freeze Tether addresses should also be accompanied by appropriate legal process.
- Requests from other countries. No separate procedure for foreign agencies is stated; the page says Tether receives requests from law enforcement agencies around the world and gives one contact address.
