How Police Request Data from Chime
Police and government officials send lawful requests to Chime through its law-enforcement portal. The details below are taken from Chime's own published guidelines.
Ministry of Cyber Affairs is not Chime and cannot create or reset portal accounts, pass on requests or release data. Contact Chime directly. Is this your company? Request a correction.

What Chime says about legal process
- Legal process. Chime publishes a legal-process matrix (subpoena, court order/2703(d), search warrant) by data type; requests to freeze, restrain, forfeit or transfer assets are executed by Chime's partner banks rather than Chime.
- Requests from other countries. For international law enforcement agencies, Chime will preserve data so the agency can obtain records through the MLAT process.
- Preservation. Chime honors preservation requests sent via the webform for up to 90 days; a second request for the same account extends by 90 days.
