What Bitfinex says about legal process
- Legal process. Requests must be accompanied by appropriate legal process, which varies by place (production orders, search warrants, freezing orders, seizure orders, subpoenas; voluntary disclosure requests may also amount to legal process). Bitfinex reviews each for valid legal basis and narrow tailoring. Freezing/seizing requests must follow the relevant local jurisdiction's legal process and contain all necessary instructions, including the duration of the freeze where applicable.
- Requests from other countries. The page directs international law enforcement agencies to the Kodex portal link.
