What Binance says about legal process

  • Legal process. A valid court order from a competent jurisdiction or police orders/warrants is required before user information is disclosed; Binance may ask for more information to confirm the disclosure is lawful.
  • Requests from other countries. No separate foreign-agency procedure is described; all agencies request through LERS (global signup, with a separate signup for Chinese agencies).
  • Preservation. Binance will take steps to preserve records for 90 days; an extension needs a further request through LERS.
  • Notifying the user. Unless a court order or police warrant specifies otherwise and there is a valid legal basis, Binance may notify the relevant user before disclosing personal data.
