What Adyen says about legal process

  • Legal process. Requests must be legally binding for Adyen N.V., in formal writing addressed to Adyen N.V., with the legal basis, a description of the person or entity, details to retrieve the payments (preferably the 16-digit Adyen Payment Reference), the issuing authority's name and signature, the officer's badge or ID number, email and direct number, the data and period sought, and the expected response period. Adyen support teams will not disclose information by phone or email outside this process. US requests are addressed to Adyen N.V. (San Francisco Branch), must be sent electronically ([email protected]) unless law requires otherwise, should allow at least 4 weeks, and requests addressed to the wrong Adyen entity are not processed until the error is corrected.
  • Requests from other countries. Non-Dutch authorities without a judicial order must go through their local Mutual Legal Assistance authority (authenticated and validated via Interpol or Europol); with a judicial order, submit to the Netherlands' LIRC (Landelijk Internationaal Rechtshulp Centrum), Postbus 100, 3970 AC Driebergen, The Netherlands. US legal orders go to Adyen N.V. (San Francisco Branch).
  • Notifying the user. Adyen N.V. reserves the right to notify its customers or partners when their data is sought, except where notice is prohibited by law (the authority must say so at the time of the request).
