Leboncoin: How to Report a Scam or Fraud
Scammed by a seller, charged for an order you didn’t place, or contacted by someone claiming to be Leboncoin? Here are the official ways to report it in France, read on Leboncoin’s own help pages, plus the buyer-protection deadline and where to escalate.
Do this first
- Stop all contact and payments. Leboncoin will never ask you to pay outside its own checkout, share a one-time code or install a remote-access app.
- Report it inside the official Leboncoin app or website (steps below), not through a link or number you were sent.
- Leboncoin has no public customer-care phone number. Any number claiming to be Leboncoin support is a scam.
- If you paid by card, bank transfer or a payment app, call your bank’s fraud line now: see Bank Fraud Help.
- Watch the buyer-protection deadline below: claims made late are usually refused.

Report a problem or scam: Log in, open the listing and tap 'Signaler l'annonce' at the bottom, or use the three-dot menu in a conversation › 'Signaler cet utilisateur'. Cybercrime victims can get official advice at 17cyber.gouv.fr.
Report a seller or listing: Use 'Signaler l'annonce' on the listing or 'Signaler cet utilisateur' in the conversation or profile.
Transaction sécurisée leboncoin: Your money stays blocked with leboncoin's payment partner while a problem is open. After a 7-day amicable phase with the seller, leboncoin reviews the dispute. Claim within 3 days of confirming receipt (parcel not received: from 30 days after dispatch).

- SignalConso (DGCCRF): Report a problem with an online purchase or delivery; the consumer authority (DGCCRF) may step in. Use the online form only. You can choose to let the company see your report so it can reply.
- Cybermalveillance.gouv.fr (17Cyber): Official online help for victims of online fraud and cybercrime.
- Consumer Redress in the EU (dispute resolution bodies): Find an official body that can settle a dispute with a genuine trader in an EU country, Norway or Iceland.
- European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net): Free help with a dispute against a genuine trader in another EU country, Iceland or Norway. Contact the centre in the country where you live. It is for real traders, not scam websites.
