Flipkart: How to Report a Scam or Fraud

Scammed by a seller, charged for an order you didn’t place, or contacted by someone claiming to be Flipkart? Here are the official ways to report it in India, read on Flipkart’s own help pages, plus the buyer-protection deadline and where to escalate.

Do this first

  1. Stop all contact and payments. Flipkart will never ask you to pay outside its own checkout, share a one-time code or install a remote-access app.
  2. Report it inside the official Flipkart app or website (steps below), not through a link or number you were sent.
  3. Flipkart has no public customer-care phone number. Any number claiming to be Flipkart support is a scam.
  4. If you paid by card, bank transfer or a payment app, call your bank’s fraud line now: see Bank Fraud Help.
  5. Watch the buyer-protection deadline below: claims made late are usually refused.

Flipkart in India

flipkart.com

Flipkart publishes no customer-care phone number here. Any number claiming to be Flipkart support (on Google, social media or a call you received) is a scam. Use the official app or help page below.

Report a problem or scam: In the app or on the website: My Orders › select the order › Help, then chat with Flipkart support.

Report a seller or listing: Raise it with Flipkart support through the Help Centre (My Orders › Help), or escalate to the Grievance Officer.

Flipkart returns and replacement: Return and replacement rules depend on the product category and seller, and the product page shows the exact terms. Refunds on returns are processed after the seller receives the item. Claim usually within 2 to 10 days of delivery, depending on the category.

  • Flipkart handles order help through Help Centre chat, not a customer-care phone line. The 044 numbers on its website are office and Grievance Officer lines.
  • Flipkart's published numbers are Chennai (044) landlines, not toll-free 1800 numbers: treat any other 'Flipkart customer care' number as fake.

If Flipkart won’t help:

  • Flipkart Grievance Officer (Karthik R): [email protected], 044-45614700. For complaints Flipkart support has not resolved, not for order help (Mon to Sat, 9 am to 6 pm). Flipkart's Terms of Use list 044-67415800 for the same office (source)
  • National Consumer Helpline (NCH) (1915): Register a complaint against an online seller or shopping site; the helpline tries to settle it with the company before court. Toll-free 1915 from 8am to 8pm, or WhatsApp +91 8800001915.
  • National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal: Report online fraud, such as a fake shopping site or a payment scam, to the police.

Checked on Flipkart’s own help pages on 5 October 2026. Platforms change their support routes, so if something has moved, use the help section in the official app and tell us.
