NCCIA Lahore has detained more than three dozen people in raids on alleged illegal call centres in Faisal Town and Johar Town, the agency said on 4 October 2026.
The lineup photo posted with the announcement shows 38 people standing behind three seated officers.
What the raids were
Lahore unit acted against illegal call centres in Faisal Town and Johar Town and took more than three dozen people into custody.
A large number of computers and laptops were recovered.
Older version of iPhones were also seen to be used in scams.
Officials said the suspects used dial-up software to call people abroad.
An initial look at the seized computers, laptops and phones reportedly found that software and data linked to the suspected fraud.
Additional Director of the Lahore Zone, Atif Ameer, said several vehicles allegedly bought with proceeds of crime were also taken.
A case has been registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act and the Pakistan Penal Code.
Investigators are still sorting out owners, facilitators and others linked to the centres.
What the photos show
The 38 in the headline is a count of people visible in the lineup, not a figure NCCIA has stated.
If a later official total differs, the headline should follow that number.
