F1 InfoTech is hiring 30 cyber forensics, OSINT and AI/ML professionals for I4C (MHA). New Delhi and Assam postings, up to ₹2.5L a month. Apply by 30 Sep 2026.
If you have spent years pulling apart malware samples, tracing wallets on-chain, or running OSINT investigations, the Ministry of Home Affairs wants you on the other side of the fight. F1 InfoTech Pvt Ltd is recruiting 30 professionals for on-site deployment with the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C), the MHA body that runs India's national cybercrime reporting infrastructure. The postings are in New Delhi and Dergaon, Assam, the contracts run three years, and the pay goes up to ₹2.5 lakh a month, which comfortably beats most government-linked cyber roles we have covered. The application deadline has been extended to 30 September 2026, so as of publication you have three weeks.

One honest footnote: the notice's headline figure is 30 open vacancies, but the individual rows as published add up to 32. Treat the live listing on jobs.f1infotech.in as the authority on which posts are still open when you apply.
The spread of roles is worth a second look. Alongside the classic forensics profiles there are niches you rarely see advertised in India: digital vehicle forensics (extracting evidence from car infotainment and telematics systems), audio and video forensics, and a dedicated blockchain developer seat. AI/ML appears at every grade, from a ₹2.5 lakh expert post down to two AI/ML coder seats, which tells you where I4C is investing.
What you would actually be working on
I4C is the Ministry of Home Affairs body that coordinates India's response to cybercrime. It operates the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal and the 1930 helpline, the two channels through which citizens report online fraud, and it runs the analytics, forensics and threat-research verticals that sit behind them. These positions are contractual engagements through F1 InfoTech, a private manpower partner, but the work itself is on site with the I4C project.
This is not the first round under this engagement. An earlier notice in 2026 advertised 195 technical posts through the same portal; the current notice covers 30 open vacancies with the deadline extended to 30 September 2026. If you missed the first window, this is the second chance.
Most seats are in New Delhi. Four of the forensics posts (malware, audio and cloud) are stationed in Dergaon, Assam, so candidates from the Northeast who want serious forensics work without relocating to Delhi have a rare opening here.
Eligibility
- Education: B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / MBA or a post-graduate degree in Computer Science or an allied field, with First Division or a minimum 60% aggregate from a recognised university or institution.
- Non-technical posts: a few accept a bachelor's degree in any stream, or an MSW or PG degree in a related field, on the same 60% condition.
- Experience: 3 years (Consultant), 5 years (Senior Consultant) or 7 years (Manager), in the relevant domain.
- Nature of engagement: contractual, three years, fully on site. There is no work-from-home option.
Certifications and tooling that count
The notice names the certifications it considers desirable: CHFI, CEH, GCFA, GREM, CISSP, OSCP and CREST. None is listed as mandatory, but for the forensics seats, hands-on experience with EnCase, FTK, Ghidra and IDA Pro is expected. If your CV shows real casework with these tools, lead with it; a certification alone without tooling experience is the weaker profile for this kind of deployment.

FAQs
Is this a permanent government job?
No. These are contractual positions for three years, engaged through F1 InfoTech Pvt Ltd, with on-site deployment on the I4C project under the Ministry of Home Affairs. You would be a contractor on a government project, not a central government employee.
Can freshers apply?
No. The minimum is 3 years of relevant experience even at the Consultant grade, rising to 7 years for Manager posts.
Is the salary really up to ₹2.5 lakh a month?
Yes, by grade: Consultants ₹1.2 lakh, Senior Consultants ₹1.6 lakh, Managers ₹2.5 lakh per month. These are consolidated contractual remunerations, which is why they run higher than equivalent regular government pay scales.
Where is Dergaon, and which posts are based there?
Dergaon is a town in Golaghat district, Assam. Four posts are stationed there: one Senior Consultant Malware Forensic Expert, one Senior Consultant Audio Forensic Expert, and one Consultant Cloud Forensic Expert, per the published table.
What should I highlight in my application?
Domain casework first: forensic investigations you have run, tooling depth in EnCase, FTK, Ghidra or IDA Pro, and any of the named certifications (CHFI, CEH, GCFA, GREM, CISSP, OSCP, CREST). For the AI/ML and data science seats, production model-building experience matters more than coursework.
