NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited): Fraud or Complaint, How to Report It
If you lost money in a scam that used the name of NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited), or something went wrong with your NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) account, report the crime to the police first, then complain to NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) in writing and keep the reference number.

- Tell your bank or UPI app straight away, and report the crime: see who handles cybercrime in India.
- Keep screenshots, receipts, chats and account numbers. Complain to NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) in writing and note the complaint number.

SEBI says investors should first take the grievance up with the entity concerned, then use SCORES. Register on SCORES (details can be fetched from a KYC Registration Agency), pick the complaint category and the SEBI-regulated entity, and track status. SCORES allows a two-level review: first-level within 15 days of receiving the entity's Action Taken Report, second-level within 15 days of receiving the Designated Body's reply. SCORES states that grievances emailed to SEBI addresses are not attended to; use the portal.
